Two Dead, Third Seriously Injured in Five Domestic Terror Explosions in Manama
05 November 2012

The General Director of the Capital Governorate Police announced that there were five explosions from homemade bombs in Gudaibiya and Adliya on Monday morning.  Two expatriates died as a result of the explosions and a third was seriously injured.
The General Director said that an initial investigation has revealed that an IED (improvised explosive device) exploded when one of the deceased men kicked the device in Gudaibiya.  He died at the scene.  The second man was injured in an explosion near the Awal Cinema in Manama and was pronounced dead at the hospital.  A third explosion in Adliya seriously injured another man who works as a cleaner.
The General Director called upon all residents of Bahrain not to touch strange objects.  If a suspicious object is seen, a call to 999 should immediately be made to report the location.  "This is the initial information we have at this time," he stated.  "As more is learned, the information may change so updates will follow."
The Public Prosecution has been notified of the explosions and an investigation has been launched to bring those responsible to justice.
Anyone with any information is asked to call the police hotline at 80008008. All calls are treated as anonymous.
