Response to The Guardian - UK companys software used against Bahrain activist
Dear Editor, We are writing in response to the article by Jamie Doward, “UK company’s software ‘used against Bahrain activist” (May 11th2013) as it unfairly supports unverified accusations against the Government of Bahrain. Ms. Al-Shehabi claims the emails she received contain the FinSpy software, and has accused the Bahraini Government as being the source without providing any supporting evidence. It is unjustifiable to use the Government as a scapegoat for any violation a citizen may encounter. Gamma International GmbH’s Managing ...

The Foreign Media Departments response to CNN regarding Ali Abdulemam
Ali Abdulemam was not tried in court for exercising his right to express his opinions. Rather, he was tried for inciting and encouraging continuous violent attacks against police officers. Abdulemam is the founder of Bahrain Online, a website that has repeatedly been used to incite hatred, including through the spreading of false and inflammatory rumors. Bahrain Online openly and routinely glorifies indiscriminate acts of violence particularly against the police. Their material is mostly in Arabic, clearly aimed at a local ...

Response to The Independent - F1 Tear gas used to quell Bahrain Grand Prix protests - April 16th ...
Dear Editor, We are writing to shed light on an alternative perspective to the one portrayed by Loveday Morris in “F1: Tear gas used to quell Bahrain Grand Prix protests” (April 16th 2013) as the author has not captured the full picture of the current environment. Firstly, it needs to be made clear that the dispersion of protests is not a result of a proactive initiative to target individuals for their views, but for expressing this discontent by breaching the law violently and severely endangering the rest of the community. The incident ...

Response to Foreign Policy - Bahrains Continuing War on Doctors by Rula Al-Saffar - April 10th ...
Dear Editor, I am writing in response to Rula Al-Saffar's article, “Bahrain’s Continuing War on Doctors” (April 10th 2013), to provide an alternative perspective to fully grasp the realties of the case of the medics. Firstly, I would like to clarify the charges were not for “treating injured protestors”, but for serious crimes that would breach any international legal and ethical code. The Bahrain Indepdent Commission of Inquiry’s (BICI) report documented these breaches thoroughly, which the author conveniently chose to omit, and their ...

Response to Huffington Post - Bahrain Protester Holding Explosive Bursts Into Flames As Police ...
Dear Editor, We are writing to clarify the misguided allegations in your latest article, "Bahrain Protester Holding Explosive Bursts Into Flames As Police Guards Open Fire" (15th March 2013). Firstly, the rioter was found engulfed in flames as a result of the flaming petrol bomb exploding prematurely in his hand, just as he was preparing to use it in his attack. This popular makeshift weapon is extremely dangerous and unstable, given that it may explode at any point of its devise. The author appears to glorify this incident, ...
